APAQ - Quebec Seabuckthorn Growers' Association

The Association was founded on October 21st 2001 following the completion of numerous studies on opportunities for the development of different productions in Quebec. From the beginning, seabuckthorn distinguished itself because of its extraordinary nutritive qualities. Known for more than a hundred years in European and Scandinavian countries, seabuckthorn has captured the interest of certain growers from Quebec. Interested in developing a future market for that crop, the instigators of the project founded the Quebec Seabuckthorn Growers' Association. This group of people has constantly evolved ever since. It now contains growers from all around the province of Quebec who are contributing to the creation of seabuckthorn orchards.
